Materials Management Administrative AssistantWorks under the direction of the Materials Management Foreman/ManagerFunctional Requirements: Essential administrative job that requires accuracy, speed and competency. Employee can be responsible for data entry, signing in truck drivers, receiving material in E1 as well as performing other office administrative functions.Profecient typing ability, business software knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel) organizational skills, multi-tasking, excellent proofreading, and the willingness to perform a wide variety of administrative functions as required by the employer. Experience working with office equipment such as copiers, computers, fax machines and printers is expected. Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines are vital.Hours needed are Monday-Friday and some Saturdays and rare Sundays. 7:00 am - 5:30 pm depending on workload hours may be extended.Shop dress code required: Steel toe shoes, long sleeve shirt and Safety glassesKnowledge of MTR's (Mill Test Reports) are helpful but not requiredSome minor material handling, at times go to the receiving area, pipe yard & warehouse to double check markings on fittings or pipeQualification Standards1-High School diploma or GED2-Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation3-Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills4-Must be self-directed and detail oriented5-Must be able to organize workload, adapt quickly to change and deliver under the pressure of deadlines6-Turner Industries Group indoctrination7-Job site orientation8-Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe shoes) required in shop/yard area9-Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work placePhysical InvolvementEmployee may be required to do the following reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials, coordinating the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate office equipment, lifting, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting, crawling, seeing with or without correction, hearing with or without correctionMental Involvement: Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; reading and interpreting load charts; judging distances and slopes accurately; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazardsWork Environment Factors: Location: industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shop Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground levels; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: Outdoor climate; Exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substancesMiscellaneous Requirements: There will be times that the individual may be required to perform a task other than their normal operation as required by the company or the foreman, owing to the job demand.
