Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Washington, District of Columbia. Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse Washington, DC. This role provides bedside nursing care in a fast‑paced emergency setting, including work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering safe, high‑quality care for a wide range of patient needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. Job Details Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/29/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Schedule: 3 x 12s nights; 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state/district (required) Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (highly desired) Emergency Room (ER) experience (required) National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required) Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required) Cerner experience (required) Preferred Qualifications BSN (highly desired) Additional Information Must be willing/able to work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN and be able to take 1:5 ratios.
