Transportation Coordinator

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Supervisory and administrative experience in transportation preferred. Responsibilities Assist with development and implementation of the transportation program to meet the district’s instructional and extracurricular obligations. Maintain safety standards in compliance with federal and state laws. Support compliance with transportation laws for students with special needs. Collect, maintain, and update route‑description data in compliance with state mandates. Assist with discipline reports and video review as needed. Act as liaison to parents, addressing concerns and special requests. Assist with parent conferences as needed. Attend mandatory safety meetings and other required meetings. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation. Minimum Qualifications Physical Requirements: Walk or stand for portions of the work and lift up to 50 pounds. Data Conception: Ability to compare and judge data and objects. Interpersonal Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors and others. Language Ability: Read various documents and articulate information to others. Intelligence: Apply logical thinking to define and solve problems. Verbal Aptitude: Deliver information and follow oral and written instructions. Numerical Aptitude: Perform basic arithmetic, percentages, ratios. Form/Spatial Aptitude: Inspect items for proper size and shape. Motor Coordination: Coordinate hands and eyes for office equipment. Manual Dexterity: Manage office equipment with minimal coordination. Color Discrimination: Differentiate colors and shades. Interpersonal Temperament: Handle people beyond giving instructions; adapt under stress. Physical Communication: Talk and hear; understand phone communications.
