Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role Location: Timberlake, NC (onsite). Schedule: Full-time, Exempt. Voltage is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. You’ll collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to optimize workflows, resolve challenges, and support a rapidly growing manufacturing operation. What You’ll Do Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and process documentation. Analyze production workflows to identify and implement efficiency improvements. Establish labor standards and process cycle times. Support process validation and production readiness activities. Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process-related issues. Investigate defects and implement corrective actions to improve quality. Support daily production operations to enhance throughput and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturability and reduce waste. Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events. Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to reduce scrap, rework, and downtime. Maintain manufacturing records, BOMs, and engineering change documentation. Analyze production data and develop reports to support decision-making. Support ERP transactions and manufacturing system updates. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience. Experience supporting production environments (wire harness, electrical assembly, automotive, or similar preferred). Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process improvement methodologies. Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis. Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills. Why Join Us?
