Job Description Financial Administrator 1 – College of Arts and Sciences (Hybrid) Job Overview The Financial Administrator 1 is responsible for the assigned financial activities of a business unit within the Natural Sciences division. With oversight and guidance from the Business Manager, the administrator will execute key financial tasks to ensure operational efficiency. The role offers the option of a hybrid schedule (three days in the office/ two days work-from-home) for candidates residing within the Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky tri‑state area after 90 days of training. Essential Functions Order supplies for assigned departments using various purchasing software programs. Assist with travel expense reporting and guide faculty and students to adhere to the travel policy. Answer Concur questions in accordance with the Travel Policy. Process cash advances in Concur following UC policy. Process invoices to ensure timely payment and accurate account coding. Process Personal Services Contracts and Limited Services Engagement forms per UC policy. Perform related duties as directed by the management team and business unit needs. Required Education Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training may be considered in lieu of the education requirement. Required Experience Related finance or accounting experience. Additional Qualifications Considered Experience working in higher education. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet creation and financial functions. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to work independently.
