AGM Roofing & Sheet Metal is hiring a Roofing Sales Representative / Estimator to help grow our residential and commercial business throughout the Kansas City metro. We’re looking for someone who can build relationships, assess projects, prepare accurate estimates, and follow through from the first conversation to a signed contract.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationships with homeowners, general contractors, realtors, and property managers.
• Respond to incoming leads, schedule appointments, and consistently follow up on open proposals.
• Visit job sites to inspect roofs, take measurements and photos, and identify project requirements.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate scopes and material takeoffs.
• Request supplier and subcontractor pricing and estimate material, labor, equipment, and other project costs.
• Prepare clear proposals with pricing, scope, exclusions, and payment terms.
• Present estimates, answer customer questions, and close sales within company pricing guidelines.
• Coordinate with ownership and field crews to hand off sold projects, including scope, materials, access requirements, and customer expectations.
• Maintain organized records of leads, estimates, follow-ups, and sales activity.
• Help identify changes in scope and communicate them before additional work begins.

Qualifications

• Previous roofing, construction sales, or estimating experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of roofing systems, gutters, coping, flashing, and architectural sheet metal is a plus.
• Ability to read plans, take measurements, and calculate project quantities and costs.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable developing new business as well as handling company-provided leads.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple opportunities.
• Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and estimating or customer-management software.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely access job sites and perform roof inspections using appropriate equipment and safety procedures.

Accurate estimates, steady follow-up, profitable sales, and a clear handoff to the crew. Customers should understand what they’re buying, and our installers should have the information they need to complete the work correctly.
