CNC Lead – 1st Shift
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI 53046
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary:
We are looking for a CNC Lead/Machinist to lead a team of 7–8 machinists while remaining hands-on with machining operations. This is a custom/job shop environment, so the ideal candidate should have experience working with a variety of CNC machines and be comfortable handling different types of machining work throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of 7–8 direct reports on 1st shift.
- Remain hands-on with CNC machining, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Train and develop machinists on equipment, processes, and procedures.
- Assist with production scheduling and workload coordination.
- Work across different CNC machines and machining processes.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure quality and productivity.
- Support a fast-paced custom/job shop environment with varying production requirements.
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on CNC machining experience.
- Experience working with multiple types of CNC machines.
- Previous experience in a job shop/custom machining environment preferred.
- Leadership or lead machinist experience preferred.
- Must be willing and able to train employees and assist with scheduling.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to different jobs, machines, and production requirements.
