Senior Oncology Specialist What you will do In this vital role you will be the liaison to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals. Amgen’s medicines treat serious illnesses and our research addresses diseases with limited treatment options. You will act as the primary customer contact to provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of the products to medical professionals. Create and execute on a comprehensive territory plan, which includes delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following-up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets. Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, including ensuring product access, resolving/triage reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales. Analyze sales activities and territory effectiveness, and develop territory plans with your District Manager. Maintain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle while building our brand and serving patients. Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continue learning to grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist. Leverage enthusiasm for Oncology and disease state awareness, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results. What we expect of you We seek a go‑getter with the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field that is not sales related. Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field that is not sales related. High school diploma or GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field that is not sales related. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Oncology. Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries. Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases. Local market knowledge. A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration. Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing; leveraging business, industry, and technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; and cultivating internal and external relationships. What you can expect of us The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $140,465 to $190,041. The actual salary will vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
