Senior Manager of Pharmacy

Company Description Women & Infants Hospital is the region’s leading hospital for women and newborns, recognized for high volume obstetrical care and advanced neonatal services. Role Description The Senior Manager of Pharmacy is a fulltime, onsite role based in Providence, RI, responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations and supporting safe, effective, and evidence based medication use. This role leads and mentors pharmacy staff, coordinates workflow, and ensures timely prescription verification, dispensing, and clinical review for inpatient and specialty services. The Senior Manager develops and implements pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives that align with regulatory standards and hospital goals. The role has oversight USP 797 USP 800 for tbe hospital and oncology clinc. Additional responsibilities include meeting budgets and inventory requirements, maintaining compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards and supporting education, training, and performance evaluations for pharmacy team members. Qualifications Strong foundation in Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, including hospital or health-system pharmacy experience. Two years of experience in pharmacy leadership. Masters or MBA preferred. Commitment to highquality Customer Service in a patient and family centered care environment. Experience with Immunization practices, protocols, and related documentation (as applicable to role and licensure). Current pharmacist license in good standing (or eligibility for licensure) in the relevant state. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree; completion of a pharmacy residency (PGY1, and preferably PGY2) is highly desirable. USP 797, USP 800 and USP 795 oversight experience. Proven leadership experience in supervising pharmacy teams, managing schedules, and conducting performance evaluations. Knowledge of medication safety standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., The Joint Commission, state and federal pharmacy regulations). Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills with experience in quality improvement and process optimization.
