Sales Associate – Kirkland's Home – Part Time Join The Brand House Collective as a Sales Associate at Kirkland’s Home. The primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional shopping experience to every customer using Kirkland’s customer‑service model, while assisting with all aspects of operations and merchandising in partnership with the management team. Sales Associates drive sales growth by flexing into multiple roles—including selling, cashiering, replenishing, setting floor displays, and cleaning—while keeping the customer as the top priority. Responsibilities Support and value Customer Service in both the in‑store and online (ship‑to‑store) shopping experience. Actively engage with all customers, modeling exceptional selling behaviors. Greet every customer with enthusiasm and maintain a positive, can‑do attitude at all times. Proactively engage with customers, read cues, and respond appropriately. Educate each customer on loyalty programs, current promotions, and merchandise assortment to support basket building. Support the company’s branding at all times by treating all customers and co‑workers respectfully and professionally while pursuing common goals. Achieve or exceed goals associated with company initiatives and programs. Assist in the receipt of all merchandise in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Maintain an efficient and organized sales floor and stockroom. Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing, and inventory levels are accurate. Demonstrate a commitment to Kirkland’s Values: Customer Commitment, Caring Culture, Winning Attitude, and Innovative Spirit. Perform other duties as necessary. Qualifications Energetic, people‑focused, results‑oriented, with a competitive drive to succeed. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings. Ability to read and interpret company directives, handbook, and manuals. Flexible schedule to meet the store’s business needs. Capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Able to ascend/descend a ladder to retrieve and stock products or hang banners/product displays. Frequently positioned to retrieve and stock products in the stockroom and sales floor, and to place merchandise in bags. Able to stand and move around the store for prolonged periods to greet and assist customers. Frequent verbal and written communication with customers in person, electronically, and telephonically. Capable of moving merchandise 50 pounds or more between the stockroom and sales floor. Proficient with a Point of Sale system, registers, and handheld devices.
