You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job Description:At Regions, the Corporate Security Field Investigator collaborates closely with branch associates, bank management, Human Resources, law enforcement agencies, and other key stakeholders to detect, investigate, and mitigate incidents involving fraud, theft, robbery, workplace violence, and other criminal activities. The role is responsible for conducting thorough investigations, gathering and analyzing evidence, coordinating with internal and external partners, and helping protect the safety, security, and assets of the organization.Primary ResponsibilitiesConducts investigations involving internal and external criminal activity directed at the Bank, its customers, or cases in which the Bank has been used as a vehicle to facilitate criminal conductConducts suspect and witness interviews, gathers and preserves evidence, and maintains investigative records within the case management systemPrepares clear, thorough, and timely investigative reports and documents findings for internal stakeholders and external law enforcement or regulatory agencies, as appropriateFacilitates recovery efforts for fraud-related losses, including entering into indemnity agreements when necessaryPerforms physical security risk assessments for Regions’ locations and provides recommendations for enhanced security measures and controlsMaintains effective working relationships with senior bank leadership, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and security professionals to support investigative and security initiativesParticipates in financial crimes task forces, professional development programs, and industry training to remain current on emerging threats and investigative best practicesMonitors fraud, crime, and loss trends; communicates findings to market leadership; and recommends appropriate risk mitigation and security countermeasuresConducts research and analytical projects related to criminal activity, fraud trends, and security risksTestifies in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and other legal matters as requiredResponds to emergency situations, after-hours incidents, and unscheduled investigative matters as neededTravels regularly throughout assigned areas within the Regions footprint to conduct investigations, security assessments, training, and other business-related activitiesMay provide executive protection support and security servicesMay develop and deliver security awareness and fraud prevention training for Regions associates and customersThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.RequirementsBachelor’s degree and four (4) years of law enforcement, government or private sector experience with a focus on financial crimes investigationsOr High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of law enforcement, government or private sector experience with a focus on financial crimes investigationsAbility to respond to after-hours incidents, emergency situations, and weekend callouts as neededAbility to travel up to 25% of the time, including travel on short notice and overnight assignments as requiredPossession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, including no license suspensions or revocations and no convictions for moving traffic offensesCertifications/LicensuresThis position provides the option to carry a concealed firearm, subject to approval by the Chief Security Officer. Employees who elect to carry a concealed firearm and receive approval must be able to meet the following requirements:Possess firearm certification and/or successfully complete required firearm training and obtain applicable certificationsSuccessfully complete semi-annual firearm requalification requirementsThis requirement is contingent upon the employee's decision to carry a concealed firearm and receipt of the necessary authorization.PreferencesExperience collaborating with law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, regulatory agencies, and financial institution security professionalsExperience conducting criminal, financial crimes, fraud, or corporate security investigations within law enforcement, government, or private-sector environmentsFamiliarity with investigative case management systems and databases used to document, track, and manage investigative activitiesKnowledge of banking operations, systems, products, and processes, including fraud detection and loss prevention controlsProfessional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Professional Investigator (CPI), and/or Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS)Understanding of financial crime schemes, fraud typologies, and investigative best practicesSkills and CompetenciesAbility to accurately document incidents, investigations, and case activities in clear, concise report formatsAbility to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and internal/external stakeholdersAbility to conduct internet-based research and utilize open-source information as part of the investigative processAbility to respond to incidents, emergencies, and operational needs after normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysBuilds constructive working relationships characterized by trust, cooperation, mutual respect, and professionalismComprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and judicial processesEffective public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to conduct in-person training and informational sessionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience providing testimony before grand juries and in court proceedingsExtensive knowledge of and experience with executive protection principles, procedures, and best practicesProficient computer skills, including the ability to prepare reports using word processing software and develop and deliver PowerPoint presentationsStrong judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skillsThis position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.Position TypeFull timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
