About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in PACU or similar setting License: Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with a patient ratio of 1:3 Description: The Registered Nurse will care for patients undergoing small surgical procedures in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include managing pre-and post-operative care for surgical patients. The nurse will perform infusions and injections for outpatients. Candidates should be skilled in IV maintenance and have experience in emergency medication administration. Knowledge of monitoring and managing IV infusions is required. The role involves performing assessments and providing discharge instructions to patients. Management of pediatric patients may be necessary. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and social services. A thorough understanding of pain management and medication reconciliation is essential. The facility expects flexibility in scheduling, including potential holiday shifts. Floating may occur in accordance with the policy and clinical experiences of the staff.
