Junior Data Center Engineer

Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Network/Data Center Engineer responsible for deployment, configuration, and maintenance of data center network infrastructure. The role involves working with switching technologies, structured cabling, monitoring tools, and supporting day-to-day data center operations and troubleshooting. Responsibilities: Install, rack, stack, and cable network devices in data center environments Configure and manage network switches (Meraki, Aruba) Perform VLAN setup, IP configuration, uplinks, and port provisioning Support routing & switching operations including STP and L2/L3 networking Monitor network health using tools like SolarWinds and troubleshoot issues Handle hardware alerts (optics, PSU, fan) and outage resolution Maintain DCIM systems and track inventory, assets, and rack layouts Support breakout configurations (400G to 100G) and ensure redundancy Provide remote hands support for deployments and testing Participate in maintenance windows and emergency response Requirements: Location: Onsite - Santa Clara, CA Duration: 6-12 months (contract) Experience: 3 years Required Skills: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS VLANs, Subnetting, IP Addressing Routing & Switching fundamentals Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) High availability and redundancy concepts Preferred Skills: Data center operations (rack/stack, cabling, optics) Leaf-Spine architecture environments Network device configuration and provisioning Network monitoring and troubleshooting Technologies & Tools: Networking Platforms: Meraki, Aruba Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds DCIM & Asset Management Tools Programming/Scripting: Python (basic automation) Version Control: Git Productivity Tools: Excel Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving Team collaboration and ownership mindset Ability to work in on-site data center environments Flexibility to support outages and maintenance windows #J-18808-Ljbffr Evolutyz Corp
