Vincentian Independent Living Community | Senior Living Housekeeper

Full Time | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Living Housekeeper, you’ll help keep resident apartments, common areas, and community spaces clean, sanitary, and inviting. Responsibilities include:

• Clean and maintain resident apartments, restrooms, common areas, and public spaces, including floors, surfaces, carpets, and other areas throughout the community.
• Vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, wet mop, wax, dust, disinfect, and perform other routine cleaning duties.
• Clean resident apartments according to established schedules, checklists, and individual resident preferences.
• Thoroughly clean apartments after a resident moves out and prepare them for the next resident.
• Maintain clean and organized housekeeping, utility, and janitorial areas and ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Operate, clean, maintain, and properly store housekeeping equipment.
• Follow established safety, infection control, cross-contamination, and chemical handling procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain common area trash and assist with laundry responsibilities for guest suites and housekeeping supplies, including mop heads, cleaning cloths, kitchen towels, and tablecloths.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for resident events and activities.
• Report hazardous conditions, equipment malfunctions, property damage, missing or found items, and other concerns to the Supervisor.
• Respond to resident requests and questions and communicate resident concerns or complaints to the Supervisor.
• Interact with residents, families, guests, coworkers, and visitors in a friendly, courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate work records and follow established cleaning schedules.
• Follow all facility and department policies, procedures, and work rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma/GED or one year of relevant work experience in lieu of diploma/GED.
• At least 1 year of housekeeping and/or property assistant experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently while following established community procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with frequent interruptions.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer and telephone skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
• Ability to interact with residents and guests with kindness, respect, and dignity .
