Physician On-Call Services PRN Location: Columbus, OH Client: State of Ohio DODD Employment Type: PRN / On-Call Hours: Up to 24 hours/week; hours vary based on facility needs Duration: No Set End Date Education: Doctoral Degree Position Overview The State of Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is seeking a PRN Physician to provide on-call medical coverage at DODD facilities throughout Ohio. The physician must be available for statewide assignments and may provide coverage at different facilities based on operational needs. Coverage needs will generally be communicated in advance, although immediate PRN coverage may also be required. Key Responsibilities • Provide primary and on-call medical care to residents at DODD facilities. • Conduct physical examinations, assess medical concerns, diagnose conditions, and provide treatment. • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests, treatments, referrals, and other medical interventions. • Collaborate with Certified Nurse Practitioners, nursing staff, psychologists, psychiatrists, case managers, families/guardians, and other interdisciplinary team members. • Monitor patient responses to treatments and medications. • Complete required medical documentation, orders, and records. • Participate in facility committees and support compliance with applicable ICF/IID standards. • Provide coverage at different DODD facilities throughout Ohio as needed.
