Finance Accounting Manager

An Accounting Manager is responsible for the daily accounting operations, general ledger maintenance, and ensuring US GAAP/IFRS compliance. In addition, the role will supervise staff, support month-end close, monitor job costing/inventory valuation, maintain internal controls and assist in regulatory compliance.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist with the timely financial close process and support of the periodic forecast/budget cycles
• Support the day-to-day operations of the accounting team
• Provide direction and oversight to all aspects of the general ledger, including analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Manage the general ledger and ensure proper coding of transactions
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Verify the accuracy of job costs as well as the reconciliation of all subledgers to the general ledger (A/P, A/R, cash management, equipment, payroll)
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external year-end audit, including annual Physical Inventory oversight
• Ensure compliance with applicable state, and local tax filings (sales & xhyhwjd use tax, real and personal property taxes, and 1099)
• Monitor and enforce compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Monitor and develop internal controls to minimize financial risk and identify areas of opportunity to better safeguard assets
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support decision-making processes
