**Job Overview**

We are looking for a dedicated, energetic, and tech-savvy Physician (MD/DO) to join our team in the Northern Region. In this important role, you will conduct medical assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and guide patients through their medical cannabis journey with confidence and compassion. You will collaborate closely with the medical services team to ensure smooth operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of integrative medicine, combining traditional clinical skills with innovative treatment modalities. Please note that this is a contractor position, and travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients seeking medical cannabis treatment in accordance with Florida regulations.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and education.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Stay current with state requirements and medical cannabis best practices.
• Support CannaMD's commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

Required

• Active, unrestricted Florida Medical License (MD or DO)
• Florida resident
• Compliance with all applicable Florida medical cannabis laws and regulations

Preferred

• Board Certified
• Comfortable using electronic medical record systems and technology

State Compliance Requirements

In accordance with Florida law, physicians must:

• Hold an active, unrestricted allopathic or osteopathic medical license.
• Complete the annual physician certification course and examination administered by FMA/FMOA.
• Have no direct or indirect economic interest in any Medical Marijuana Treatment Center (MMTC) or marijuana testing laboratory, as required under Florida Senate Bill 8A
