We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and compliance with payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.

• Review and verify employee timekeeping records.

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies with employees and supervisors.

• Enter and maintain payroll information in the payroll system.

• Process employee tax withholding and deduction changes.

• Prepare manual payroll checks when necessary.

• Process direct deposits and update employee banking information.

• Maintain accurate payroll records while ensuring confidentiality.

• Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies.

• Work closely with Human Resources and other departments to ensure payroll accuracy.

• Ensure payroll procedures comply with all applicable federal and state laws.

• Assist with payroll reporting and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous payroll or accounting experience preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and functions.

• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
