GL Staffing is seeking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Microbiology Technician to join our Quality Control team in a cosmetics manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to begin a career in microbiology.
Location: Miami Gardens, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: Starting at $17.00/hour
Responsibilities- Perform basic microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples.
- Prepare culture media, solutions, and laboratory materials.
- Collect and label samples following laboratory procedures.
- Record and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and safety procedures.
- Assist senior microbiology staff with routine laboratory activities and special projects.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related science .
- Previous laboratory experience through school or internships is a plus
- Basic knowledge of microbiology laboratory techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work independently after training.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
