Outside Sales Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative for a direct hire opportunity supporting industrial and commercial customers throughout the North Seattle territory. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new accounts, solving customer problems, and representing technical products and services in the field.

The Outside Sales Representative will focus on growing new business while strengthening existing customer relationships. This is a strong opportunity for someone who values independence, territory ownership, and the ability to work closely with customers to recommend practical equipment and service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing industrial and commercial customers throughout the assigned territory.
- Prospect for new business through outbound calls, referrals, networking, in-person visits, and other business development activities.
- Conduct regular customer visits to assess needs, present solutions, and support long-term account growth.
- Prepare quotes, follow up on proposals, and guide opportunities through the full sales cycle.
- Collaborate with internal sales, service, and operations teams to ensure responsive customer support and accurate solutions.
- Track sales activity, customer information, opportunities, and follow-up actions using standard business systems and CRM tools.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Kent, WA, with travel throughout the North Seattle territory.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Develop new business opportunities across an assigned outside sales territory.
- Manage and grow established customer accounts through consistent communication and follow-through.
- Conduct in-person customer visits to identify needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Prepare quotes, follow up on proposals, and support opportunities through the sales cycle.

- 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience preferred.
- Experience selling industrial equipment, machinery, electrical products, manufacturing solutions, or related technical products is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, generate new business, and manage ongoing customer relationships.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn technical products and translate customer needs into practical solutions.
- Self-directed, organized, reliable, and able to manage a territory independently.
- Comfortable prospecting, networking, and meeting with customers in person.
- Proficiency with standard computer programs and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally throughout North Seattle.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous sales experience within industrial equipment, technical services, manufacturing, electrical products, machinery, or a related B2B environment.
- Existing familiarity with industrial or commercial customer needs in the greater Seattle market.
- Experience managing a defined sales territory with both new account development and account management responsibilities.
