About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour and Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BCLS required; CPI preferred Must-Have: - Experience in medical, surgical, telemetry, and infusion care - Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 - Experience with Epic charting system Description: Position available in the Acute Care Float Pool. The nurse will provide care within various specialties including medical and surgical telemetry. The facility requires weekend coverage every other weekend. Floating within the hospital will occur but not to sister hospitals. First-timers are accepted after screening. Candidates must be flexible to meet unit needs. The patient demographic includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 80 patients. The nursing staff benefits from interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Skills required include management of cardiac drips, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and administering IVs. Additional responsibilities include wound care and managing post-operative patients. The position is not eligible for RTO during the first two weeks of employment. References are required upon submission.
