Step into a rewarding role supporting K-5 students as a Special Education Resource Teacher in a well-respected elementary environment. This full-time contract position begins in late August 2026 and continues through early June 2027, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact throughout the school year. As part of a committed educational team, you’ll play a vital role in fostering student success and growth.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong skills in individualized instruction, a genuine passion for special education, and the certification required to meet diverse learners' needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Special Education (please submit a PDF of your license)
- Experience working with K-5 students in a Special Education setting
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and students
- Ability to adapt lessons for varying student abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students with varying exceptionalities
- Develop, implement, and assess IEP goals while tracking student progress
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive practices
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages engagement and confidence
- Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings as required by the district
