Two full-time special education teachers are needed, each offering a unique chance to split responsibilities between early childhood and K-5 resource support. Based in the Forest Lake area and beginning early September 2026, these roles are ideal for educators dedicated to making a difference throughout the full academic year.
What You Bring:
- Current Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Early Childhood Special Education (EC SpEd) and Elementary Special Education (ES SpEd)
- Previous experience in special education, with the ability to manage both early childhood and elementary caseloads
- Proven commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with general education staff, families, and support professionals
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction based on IEPs for both early childhood and K-5 students
- Develop and adapt lesson plans and interventions aligned with student goals
- Co-teach and consult with classroom teachers to maximize student engagement
- Maintain clear and consistent documentation, including IEP updates and progress reporting
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to best practices in special education
