Seeking passionate educators to step into two contract positions as onsite Special Education Teachers for the upcoming school year, located in the Forest Lake, MN area. These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact, providing both early childhood and K-5 resource support within elementary settings. The positions run from early September 2026 through early June 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education (EC SpEd & ES SpEd)
- Experience supporting diverse learners in both early childhood and elementary environments is highly valued
- Ability to manage and adapt to a dynamic caseload across age groups
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Must provide a current resume and a PDF of active MN teaching license with required certifications upon applying
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve students in both an Early Childhood and K-5 resource capacity within an elementary school setting (approximately half your day in each area)
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure inclusive learning environments
- Employ varied instructional strategies to address a range of academic and behavioral needs
- Maintain timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings and team discussions
