Special Education Resource Teacher – Columbus Elementary School
Location: Forest Lake, Minnesota
Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 Hours/Week)
School Year: Approximately August 31, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Grade Levels: Kindergarten–5th Grade
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Resource Teacher to support Columbus Elementary School in Forest Lake, Minnesota for the 2026–2027 school year . This full-time opportunity is ideal for educators who are passionate about providing individualized support and helping elementary students reach their full potential.
Position Overview
The Special Education Resource Teacher will provide specialized instruction and academic support to students in grades Kindergarten through 5th while collaborating with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support for students receiving special education services
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License with the required dual certification
- Previous elementary school experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
