Analyst 2, Financial Planning & Analysis (Req Exp in SAP & Hyperion) Location: San Diego, CA • Duration: 3 Months • Total hours / week: 40 • Shift: 1st Shift • Client: Medical Devices Company • Job Category: Accounting/Finance • Level of Experience: Mid‑Level • Employment Type: Contract on W2 (US citizens, green‑card holders, or eligible visa holders) Responsibilities Support larger business functions within Corporate Functions finance. Collaborate with cost center managers, functional leaders & Finance Business Partners in developing annual budgets/quarterly projections; include clear documentation of assumptions & posting in SAP/Hyperion. Record month‑end journal entries (accruals, reclasses, charge‑in/outs, & prepaid amortization) for all cost centers supported; ensure accurate reporting of financial results in SAP/Hyperion. Analyze financial variances for cost center actuals, projections, and budget. Compile month‑end balance sheet account reconciliations. Support audit requests from internal/external audit; coordinate reporting/compilation of capital for Corporate Functions. Provide ad‑hoc analytical support for cost center managers on an as‑needed basis. Provide project support for continuous improvement for the group as a whole. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. 2+ years of experience in financial analysis/accounting. 1+ years of experience with SAP & Hyperion. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, challenging environment with strong attention to detail.
