Program ManagerThe Arc Arapahoe, Douglas & Elbert Counties (The Arc ADE) is expanding and seeking two experienced Managers (Program Manager and Communications Manager) who are excited about supporting staff, strengthening our work, and advancing inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).As our organization has grown, so has the scope and complexity of our work. These new Manager positions will provide dedicated day-to-day leadership and support to staff while helping ensure our programs, communications, and community engagement remain consistent, responsive, and aligned with our mission.Full-time, Exempt | 40 hours/week | Benefits Reports to: Director of Programs Pay: $72,000.00 – $78,000.00 per yearPosition SummaryThe Program Manager provides day-to-day leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to Advocates and coordinates the routine operation and administration of assigned programs at The Arc ADE. The Program Manager is the primary supervisor of Advocates and is responsible for workload management, staff performance, coverage, case consultation, documentation, consistency, and implementation of established program procedures and expectations.Working under the direction of the Director of Programs, the Program Manager translates department-level priorities and procedures into day-to-day practice. The Manager has authority to make routine supervisory and operational decisions within established organizational policies, program procedures, approved resources, and Director-established priorities, and brings significant concerns or decisions requiring higher-level review to the Director of Programs.The Program Manager works collaboratively with the Systems Engagement Coordinator and other staff when changes in the IDD or special education systems affect advocacy practice, staff education, or recurring issues identified through direct services. The Systems Engagement Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Programs.Qualifications8 years of experience in human services, social work, nonprofit management, public administration, education, business administration, or a related field. Experience with IDD preferred.5 years of experience supervising, supporting, or developing staff, including providing direction, setting expectations, monitoring performance, and promoting professional growth.Demonstrated experience in advocacy, human services, disability services, guardianship, case management, nonprofit services, or a related field.Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to develop an understanding of, issues affecting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, including advocacy, inclusion, self-determination, guardianship, special education, and access to community-based supports and services.Ability to manage day-to-day staff workload, priorities, coverage, documentation, and program responsibilities while maintaining consistency and accountability.Strong coaching, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and recognize when matters require Director involvement.Ability to provide consistent guidance to staff, reinforce established procedures and expectations, and support professional judgment without unnecessarily limiting staff autonomy.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with individuals receiving services, families, staff, and community partners.Ability to support quality-improvement, compliance, documentation, and program-monitoring activities with accuracy and attention to detail.Proficiency with standard workplace technology and the ability to learn and effectively use organizational databases, reporting systems, and other technology required for the position.Commitment to The Arc ADE's mission and values and to promoting dignity, choice, inclusion, equity, independence, self-determination, and full community participation for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day supervision, coaching, case consultation, performance feedback, and professional development support to Advocates.Establish clear expectations, priorities, workload assignments, and performance standards in alignment with direction from the Director of Programs.Coordinate the daily operation of individual advocacy, self-advocacy, guardianship, and other assigned programs.Monitor Advocate workload, responsiveness, documentation, follow-through, service quality, and compliance, and address routine performance or operational concerns.Support Advocates in providing effective, person-centered services that promote dignity, rights, inclusion, independence, self-determination, and community participation.Provide guidance on complex advocacy situations and determine when concerns require escalation to the Director of Programs.Support the daily operation and continuity of the Guardianship Program, including serving as a credentialed guardian agent when assigned and appropriate.Monitor program records, required contacts, reports, data, and documentation for accuracy, timeliness, quality, and compliance.Use internal data and reporting systems to identify trends, workload patterns, service needs, and opportunities for quality improvement.Coordinate staff coverage, workload distribution, and routine operational needs to support consistent service delivery.Identify recurring systems barriers, practice issues, or emerging concerns and communicate them to the Director of Programs and Systems Engagement function as appropriate.Implement established program procedures, standards, workflows, training, and operational changes.Collaborate with the Systems Engagement Coordinator, leadership, staff, service providers, families, courts, and community partners as appropriate.Keep the Director of Programs informed of significant staffing, advocacy, guardianship, compliance, safety, capacity, or program concerns.Make routine supervisory and operational decisions within established policies and escalate higher-risk, policy-level, personnel, legal, ethical, or organizational issues appropriately.Contribute to program evaluation, internal reviews, quality-improvement efforts, staff onboarding, and organizational initiatives.Perform other duties consistent with the scope and level of the position.Benefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceEmail resume and cover letter to Georgia Edson at View email address on click.appcast.io or Apply on Indeed
