Accounting Associate

Position Title: Accounting Associate Location: Jericho, NY Job Type: Full time Req ID: R492-2026 Job Description We are currently seeking an Accounting Associate to prepare schedules and workpapers, assist with the monthly and quarterly accounting close, complete processes such as bank and mortgage reconciliations, run and distribute reports, prepare cash receipt and vendor request forms, prepare lender packages, and perform other ad hoc projects as assigned. The right candidate will have strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills, including the ability to work with all levels of employees across the Company, as well as the ability to focus on meeting accounting department deadlines. The individual must thrive in a team environment and be flexible regarding ad hoc reporting and must respond to inquiries with a sense of urgency. Responsibilities Prepare schedules and workpapers Assist with monthly and quarterly accounting close Perform bank and mortgage reconciliations Run and distribute reportsPrepare cash receipt and vendor request forms Prepare lender packages Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned Requirements Minimum of an associate's degree in accounting Working knowledge of real estate and accounting systems is a plus Strong MS Office skills At least 2 years of strong bookkeeping and reconciliation experience Expected salary: approximately $55,000. Compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
