Warehouse Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the basic repairs and upkeep of basic repair tasks generated by day to day operation of the warehouse as directed by the Operations Supervisor, Manager, or General Manager. Responsibilities include:Evaluating mechanical and/or electrical failures in production equipment to determine appropriate corrective action.Performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing all production equipment as needed.Operating the production machinery according to established production needs/requirements while inspecting finished products for quality.Setting up, loading, starting, adjusting process variables, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and properly shutting down process equipment in accordance with published production schedules and product specifications.Communicating the required repaired list of broken items to Manager on a timely manner.Communicating items that cannot be repaired and would require an outside vendor to be called in a timely manner.Maintaining tools required and ensuring maximum time is given to purchase required tools.Supporting the Safety Program of the facility and ensuring all maintenance related areas of the warehouse meet all appropriate federal and company regulations.Making recommendations to the Manager on items that need repair or upgrade.Maintaining a list of all contractors/vendors.Notifying the shift supervisor of significant deviations from normal operating conditions.Assisting packers and material handling personnel.Qualifications include:A high school diploma or equivalent and 4-6 years of related experience.Ability to administer on-site training based on needs and recommendation.Self-starter with a "can-do" attitude.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work in varying facility conditions.Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Reliance on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Ability to work under general supervision.A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
