Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Torrance, CA | Acute Care Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Evening Shift (3x12 Hours, 14:00–02:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Document and manage patient records using Epic EMR
• Float to Pediatric unit as needed, with support available when applicable
• May be required to float to a nearby sister facility as directed
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation, averaging 6–8 weekend shifts per contract

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests at time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be granted
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard placement; candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Epic EMR charting system
• Experience in a high-volume acute care or trauma emergency setting
• Comfort and experience working with pediatric patients
