Quick Facts Location: Meridian, MS Start Date: 09/19/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing assignment (duration discussed upon application) Shift: 24-hour shifts Hours/Week: 40 hours (approximate based on shift structure) Employment Type: Locum License/Certs: MS medical license required; Board Certification or Eligibility in OB/GYN preferred Experience: Prior hospitalist experience preferred; candidates must meet licensure and certification requirements Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: Hourly rate is available upon application Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicable What You ll Do Provide OB hospitalist coverage during assigned shifts at a prominent Meridian hospital Manage approximately 15 patient encounters per month, primarily obstetric and gynecological cases Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure quality patient care and safety Support labor and delivery processes in a Level 1 Basic NICU setting Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management Participate in on-call rotations, including OB/GYN backup coverage when needed Comply with hospital policies and standards, ensuring smooth delivery operations What You Need Required: Medical license in Mississippi or willingness to obtain Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics/Gynecology or relevant specialty Experience and skills aligned with OB hospitalist duties Preferred: Prior hospitalist or OB practice experience Ability to work 24-hour shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting About the Assignment This assignment is based at a leading hospital in Meridian, MS, serving approximately 884 births annually.
