While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to communicate clearly, perceive details of objects that are close by, and maintain various physical positions for extended periods, such as sitting, standing, or walking. The job may involve using hands for tasks such as typing, handling objects, or operating tools, as well as reaching with hands and arms. Typically, successful candidates are hired at a salary rate up to the midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

The Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County participates in the State Retirement systems ASRS or PSPRS. As such, mandatory membership for all full-time employees includes payroll deducted contributions consistent with each retirement system's requirements. The current contribution rate for ASRS is 12.27% and the current contribution rate for PSPRS is 5.84% and up for the defined contribution plan and 8.82% for the defined benefit plan. For more information about contributions and benefits of these plans visit or Judicial Branch facilities are located throughout Maricopa County. This position may be reassigned to other locations. - High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of general clerical or administrative experience
- Post-secondary education may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
- Principles and processes for providing customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- The use of computer applications including spreadsheets, databases, and word-processing software.
- Written and verbal communication with others to convey information effectively.
- Providing exemplary customer service.
- The preparation of statistical reports.
- Learn policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the Court.
- Respond courteously to the concerns of the public, attorneys, and employees.
- Use effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Excel in a high-volume and time-sensitive work environment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Understand and accurately brief oral and written instructions.
- Make sound decisions in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Work as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
- Works with Judicial Officers and various other departments daily.
- Delivers excellent customer service while answering a high volume of questions from internal and external customers by phone, email, and in person.
- Explains legal filing procedures both at the counter and over the telephone; schedules hearings; assists the general public, law enforcement agents, attorneys, and their staff, and other employees with locating information, documents, and other related materials.
- Performs a variety of case management functions, including reviewing case status reports, Cal-Acti, and researching cases.
- Prepares and maintains statistical information.
- Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, scanning faxing, mailing, and data entry.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
