Job Location: US-VA-Lorton Responsibilities Responsibilities of a Buyer include the strategic sourcing of materials and services, managing procurement processes, and optimizing cost without compromising on quality. This involves: Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals. Negotiate and execute purchase orders and Long-Term Agreement contracts with suppliers and secure advantageous terms. Perform price/cost analysis. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements and regulations Track multiple vendor service accounts regularly to ensure invoices, contracts, renewals, and account information are accurate and up to date Provide reports on account spending associated with site service invoicing Resolve billing or service issues promptly, and coordinate with vendors to prevent disruptions Required Qualifications 5 years of experience- 2+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, with at least 1+ years in a handling complex procurement task. Understands Contractors Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) requirements Use of Costpoint ERP system Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills Preferred Qualifications Positive attitude Results focused Strategic Mindset Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Problem Solver Ability to work independently Pay Transparency The salary range for this role is $190,000-116,000K USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
