Position Summary

We are seeking dedicated nursing professionals for a night shift position at a long-term care facility located in Vestal, NY. Candidates will provide comprehensive care to patients, focusing on Alzheimer's and dementia populations.

Key Details

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
Patient Ratios: 1:18-20 for a 300 bed facility
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required upon center request
Start Date: Bi-weekly, aligned with the orientation schedule

Qualifications

Active New York State nursing license required (no license hits allowed)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Strong attendance and punctuality record is a must

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Perform medication passes accurately and safely
Monitor and report changes in resident conditions
Complete timely and accurate documentation
Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies
Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on assigned units

Additional Information

The facility is a state government run Long-Term Care Center, specializing in rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care. Attire is flexible, allowing for any solid color scrubs and closed-toe shoes. The documentation system used is PCC (Point Click Care).

Compliance and Requirements

Orientation must be completed as scheduled; no exceptions for missing orientation
Modules required for completion within three days prior to the start of the assignment
Must provide one verified reference upon submission and a second reference prior to the start of the contract
