Associate - Financial & Legal Consulting

The Tone: This is a full-time Associate role at BRG, a global consulting firm located in major US cities, operating with a hybrid work model. BRG provides economic, dispute, investigation, corporate finance, and performance improvement services by combining academic credentials with business expertise and purpose-built technologies. This role is crucial for delivering clear, reliable insights to clients facing complex financial, operational, and legal challenges. Associates directly contribute to work that shapes important legal and business outcomes. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: Hybrid, Washington DC, New York, Boston, Houston, Chicago, San Francisco Bay Area Pay: $85000–$100000 yearly Mission: Analyze complex financial, operational, accounting, technological, and business issues for clients involved in legal, regulatory, and investigative matters. Tech Stack: Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL, AI tools What You’ll Actually Do Analyze: Analyze financial statements, accounting records, operational data, and other business information. Support: Support damages analyses, business interruption calculations, valuation work, claim preparation, and investigative findings. Model: Assist with reconstructing financial information, developing financial models, and identifying key trends or anomalies. Prepare: Help prepare expert reports, trial demonstratives, presentations, exhibits, and other client deliverables. Investigate: Support client interviews, fraud investigations, compliance reviews, discovery efforts, internal controls assessments, and risk mitigation work. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Statistics, Economics or other related subject. Expected graduation date between Winter 2026 and Summer 2027. Experience: This is an entry-level position. Skills: Strong quantitative, research, problem-solving, and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Bonus: GPA of 3.6 or higher.
