Founding Designer

As our Founding Designer, you'll work directly with the founders to shape how software gets built in the age of AI. You'll own the design of the core product experience—from AI-powered creation workflows and editing experiences to onboarding, growth, brand, and everything in between. We're building a platform that enables entrepreneurs, operators, and non-technical users to transform ideas into real products without traditional development barriers. But our vision extends beyond app creation. We believe AI will fundamentally change how people solve problems, automate work, and build businesses—and design will play a critical role in making that future intuitive and accessible. Our users should feel empowered, capable, and in control. You'll help define what great AI-native product design looks like while setting the quality standard for the entire user experience. What You'll Talk directly with users to understand their goals, frustrations, and moments of success, then translate those insights into exceptional product experience Own end-to-end product design across core experiences including AI interactions, creation workflows, editing tools, onboarding, publishing, templates, and workspace management Design new interaction models for working with AI—helping users guide, refine, troubleshoot, automate, and understand AI-generated outputs Establish and maintain a high bar for visual design, usability, and overall product craftsmanship Prototype and ship. AI has dramatically lowered the barrier to building, and we expect designers to actively experiment, prototype, and contribute directly to product development—not simply hand off designs Help shape the company's brand identity, website, product marketing, launch materials, and overall storytelling as we define a new category Collaborate closely with founders and engineering to influence product strategy, roadmap decisions, and long-term vision What We're Looking Proven experience designing and shipping high-quality software products from concept through launch Exceptional UX instincts with the ability to simplify complex workflows and make advanced technology feel intuitive Strong visual design skills and a deep appreciation for typography, hierarchy, interaction design, and polish Comfortable leveraging AI tools to prototype, iterate, and bring ideas to life quickly Thrives in ambiguity and can turn loosely defined problems into elegant, user-centered solutions Fast-moving but thoughtful—you know when speed matters and when attention to detail creates meaningful impact Strong ownership mentality and a desire to help build a company from the ground up Excited by AI-native product design and eager to invent new interaction patterns rather than relying solely on traditional SaaS conventions Why This Role Matters This is not a traditional design role.
