Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments of residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Create and carry out personalized therapy plans designed to meet each resident's unique needs.
• Work closely with our interdisciplinary team (including nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians) to develop integrated and holistic care strategies.
• Track resident progress diligently and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure the best outcomes.
• Provide education and guidance to residents and their families on effective communication strategies, safe swallowing techniques, and helpful home exercises.
• Maintain precise and current documentation for all assessments, progress notes, and care plans.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Texas State License (or be eligible for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• While experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is preferred, we warmly encourage all passionate candidates to apply.
