Regional Merchandise Manager

Salary Range: $128,000 - $163,000* Job Description What This Position is All About: As a strategic partner to the Stores organization, the Senior Manager, Merchandising will support and drive the merchandise strategy at the store level with a holistic lens. They will lead the development, implementation, communication, and execution of strategy that optimizes the vendor matrix, assortment, and space on a by store basis - addressing unique localized store requirements and opportunities. In partnership with the Director, Store Merchandising, they will be responsible for partnering with Regional Directors of Stores (RVPs), Store Senior leaders, Buying office, and Planning team in order to accomplish these objectives. Who You Are Skilled at coaching, developing, and influencing others Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential Exceptional interpersonal, communication, client facing and presentation skills Meticulous project manager with strong organizational skills You Also Have College degree preferred A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail merchandising and planning required Prior store-line management experience preferred Strong business and financial analysis skills, with a demonstrated mastery of retail math A proven ability to assess and address challenges and develop recommendations and execute strategic action plans Strong communication/negotiation skills and the ability to persuade stakeholders in a direction that achieves objectives The ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of an organization, and the poise to manage-up to senior leadership Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite required As The Senior Manager, Merchandising, You Will Develop productive partnerships that serve to drive business forward, including but not limited to: Saks Global stores, Buyers, and Planners with a focus on High volume and/or high potential strategic merchandise opportunities Capture high-level merchandise feedback from store visits, corroborate recommendations with data, and develop action plans (e.g., category expansion, floor productivity, brand matrix edits) Identify merchandise category opportunities in key markets utilizing evolving customer, market, and competitive trends, division, group and/or specific vendor knowledge Provide Saks Global stores and executives with custom reporting and presentations, including but not limited to: seasonal launches, category initiatives, store relayer proposals Assist in preparing weekly business review for stores in collaboration with the SVP, Accelerated Store Growth Hold stakeholders accountable to execute action plans and deliver results.
