School Social Worker | High School | Washington, DC School Social Worker | Full-Time | On-Site | $70,000–$90,000 Looking for a school-based social work role that’sdifferent from the traditional school environment? This could be the opportunity for you. We’re hiring a School Social Worker to support students in a unique high school program serving grades 9–12. This school takes a proactive, relationship-centered approach to student support, with a strong focus on rapport building, conflict mediation, family engagement, and helping students thrive without relying on traditional disciplinary practices. Location: Washington, DC Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Status: Full-Time, On-Site What You’ll Do: Support approximately10 students on your caseload while building relationships with the broader student population Provide proactive support around student behavior, social-emotional needs, and conflict Facilitate and support conflict mediation and restorative conversations Build strong relationships with students, families, and school staff Lead family engagement efforts Track student data and monitor progress Collaborate with the school team to support students with emotional and behavioral needs Provide support beyond required IEP service minutes Why This Role Stands Out: A modern school environment designed around the belief thatenvironment drives behavior Approximately 40–50 students in the program Your own office space Unique12-month school calendar with three trimesters and a 6-weeks-on/1-week-off schedule Opportunity to make a meaningful impact through proactive, student-centered support Qualifications: LICSW strongly preferred School Services Personnel (SSP) credential strongly preferred LGSW candidates may be considered Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral needs is highly valued Strong relationship-building, communication, and conflict-resolution skills If you’re a licensed social worker looking for a high-impact school role where relationships come before punishment, we’d love to connect with you!
