Description

AMI is seeking a part time receptionist to join the team in the Egg Harbor Township location! This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient radiology practice.

Part time, 20+ hour per week positions at AMI are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, 401k & Profit Sharing. Health benefits are not currently extended with part time positions. Offered rates increase based on years of work experience.

The receptionist is responsible for but not limited to:

• Greeting patients in a welcoming manner upon arrival, signing them in, and obtaining their demographic information.
• Verifying that the patient's demographic information is accurate and ensuring that insurance cards, consents, and other documents are complete and in order.
• Answering phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate staff or department to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Providing patients with history forms, copies of AMI office policies, and legally required documents.
• Explaining required forms to the patient in detail and obtaining required signatures as needed.
• Preparing patients' charts in advance to ensure efficient registration experience.
• Gathering and preparing patients' records for release.
• Receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and interoffice courier deliveries.
• Processing payments from patients for out-of-pocket costs, fees, and copays.
• Scheduling appointments for patients according to scheduling guidelines.
• Providing preparation instructions as needed for tests.
• Providing patients with support and guidance by listening to them, building their confidence, increasing satisfaction, ensuring commitments are met, setting appropriate expectations, and responding to their needs.
• Always maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Working as a liaison between patients and the clinical team to enhance the delivery of patient care.
• Maintaining a calm demeanor and continuing to provide courteous customer service when confronted with a difficult situation.
• Maintaining the reception and waiting areas in a neat and orderly condition.
• Completing detailed work assignments in a timely manner.
• Performing other duties as assigned

The part time, 20 hour per week position will provide coverage in AMI's Egg Harbor Township location.

The work schedule includes:

Thursday & Friday, 9am-3:30pm

Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous clerical experience and intermediate computer skills are required. Must demonstrate excellent customer service practices and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Previous experience in a medical office or hospital is strongly preferred. Exceptional communication skills, both in-person and on the phone, are required for success in this position.
