Staff Attorney

Role Description The Staff Attorney is a full-time, hybrid role based in Spring, TX, with the flexibility to perform some responsibilities from home. On a day-to-day basis, the Staff Attorney will provide legal advice and representation to clients, including interviewing clients, assessing cases, and developing legal strategies. The role includes drafting and reviewing legal documents and conducting legal research as applicable. The Staff Attorney will negotiate on behalf of clients, communicate with opposing counsel and third parties, and appear at hearings or court proceedings as needed. Additional responsibilities may include collaborating with legal staff and volunteers, maintaining accurate case files, participating in community outreach or educational workshops, and upholding ethical and professional standards in all client interactions. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret and apply statutes, regulations, and case law. Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice tailored to diverse clients and circumstances. Effective Negotiation skills for resolving disputes, advocating for clients, and managing settlements. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Texas (or ability to obtain promptly). Demonstrated commitment to serving underserved or low-income communities and working in a mission-driven environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and time management. Ability to work collaboratively in a small team setting and maintain professionalism in a hybrid work environment. Experience in legal aid, nonprofit practice, or community-based law practice is preferred. Desire to work in a faith-forward environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
