Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Lead/Supervising Paralegal to oversee legal support operations within our team. This role involves managing daily legal administrative tasks, supporting attorneys, and ensuring efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive legal support experience, and proficiency in legal administrative functions. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of client communication and document management.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of paralegals and legal support staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Provide comprehensive legal support, including document preparation, review, and management of case files.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to draft, edit, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
• Manage legal administrative responsibilities such as filing, data entry, and maintaining case management systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and external parties to facilitate case progress and address inquiries.
• Oversee word processing tasks related to legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to formatting standards.
• Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, or meetings by organizing relevant materials.
• Maintain compliance with legal procedures and confidentiality requirements while handling sensitive information.

Skills

• Proven experience in legal support roles with a strong understanding of legal processes and documentation.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities to supervise and guide a team of paralegals or support staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation and communication.
• Extensive experience with legal administrative tasks such as filing systems, case management software, and document organization.
• Excellent word processing skills with attention to detail in drafting legal documents.
• Strong client communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
