About the Opportunity Location: Atlanta, GA Experience Required: 3+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Insurance Defense Paralegal We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join a busy and growing litigation team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience and will provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling a variety of matters, including automobile liability, premises liability, trucking, general liability, construction defect, and other civil defense cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is looking to contribute to a collaborative and successful legal team. Responsibilities Manage a high-volume insurance defense litigation caseload from inception through trial. Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence. Coordinate document collection, review, and production. Analyze medical records, billing records, and other case-related materials. Maintain case files and litigation calendars, including tracking deadlines. Assist with deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation. Schedule depositions, hearings, independent medical examinations, and expert consultations. Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Prepare exhibits, witness files, summaries, and trial notebooks. Conduct legal and factual research as needed. Utilize case management and document management systems to organize and track litigation matters. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense paralegal experience required. Strong knowledge of Georgia state and federal court procedures preferred. Experience handling litigation matters through trial preparation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software. Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
