Overview Expanded Duties Dental Assistant – EDDA – Dental Assistant. Bluebonnet Dental Care is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:35am-4:00pm. Take and develop X-rays and provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients. Take and record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs. Assist the dentist in managing dental emergencies. Support the clinical treatment care of patients, sustain patient comfort, and educate patients on dental procedures. Manage clinical supplies and work efficiently to maintain the dentist’s schedule. Adhere to OSHA and company safety policies. Support leadership and participate in continuing education and training opportunities offered by Heartland Dental. Additional Responsibilities Taking and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs. Assisting the dentist in managing dental emergencies. Requirements Job Requirement - Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA): Positive and outgoing personality with exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. Excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills. Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Ability to build rapport with patients. Good manual dexterity. Computer proficiency and ability to learn new programs. Ability to travel at least once every other month for training, occasionally overnight. Dental assisting school certificate is a plus.
