Blooms Manager

As a Blooms Manager, you'll lead the Store's Blooms team to provide superior customer service, while maintaining the department on a daily basis. Key responsibilities include management, designing floral arrangements, planning and coordinating the corporate merchandising and marketing plan, developing and training future leaders, preparing work schedules, ordering product, controlling inventory, monitoring department budget and payroll, promoting floral events, and ensuring the accuracy of invoices. Qualifications include age requirement of 18+, 1+ years of experience in department or training or equivalent, experience creating floral arrangements, experience in leadership or management, knowledge of floral products and tools, understanding of the relationship between availability to price/cost, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, computer skills including MS Office and H-E-B systems, ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff, and ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks. Education requirements include completion of School of Retail Management (SORM) and Food Safety/SRS certification. Physical demands include functioning in a fast-paced, retail environment, continuously standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, reaching overhead, and side to side throughout shift, regularly working in cooler environment and in wet conditions, occasionally lifting and carrying 40-50 pounds, and working extended hours and/or rotating schedules.
