Job ID: 100164753056Posted: 2026-09-04Location: Irving, Texas, United StatesSalary: $87,360.00 - $131,040.00Category: Risk ManagementCompany: CitiSummary:The Risk Management Country Sr. Analyst supports the oversight and execution of country risk management activities by conducting analysis of sovereign creditworthiness, macroeconomic and political developments, country ratings, Watchlist assessments, and scenario-based risk evaluations across assigned countries or regions.Partners with Country Risk leadership, business, and Risk stakeholders to monitor emerging risks, challenge risk assumptions, support country reviews and stress testing exercises, and provide insights on the impact of macroeconomic developments on portfolio performance. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models, and country analysis within area of expertise, as well as assist the team with governance and control activities. Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate country analysis and build collaborative relationships across the 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense.Responsibilities:Conduct independent review and challenge of scenario design and variable forecasting process, including base and stress scenariosReview and challenge country sovereign rating and Watchlist proposalsPrepare detailed review reports, presenting findings, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending enhancements to scenario design and variable forecasting processesEngage proactively with 1st Line of Defense teams and other stakeholders to facilitate a transparent and effective challenge processIndependently monitor global and country developments and engage in research on relevant topics as neededPrepare presentations to convey the team's analyses and viewsQualifications:5-8 years of experienceMust be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptiveAbility to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organizationExcellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one timeExperience in risk management, quantitative analysis, economic research, or a related field within the financial services industryUnderstanding of macroeconomic indicators, financial market variables, and forecasting techniquesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Education:Bachelor’s/University degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Quantitative Finance or a related field, or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
