About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Nurse – Richmond, Virginia**Start Date:** August 10, 2026 **Location:** Richmond, Virginia **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour shifts with every third weekend; 12 hours of on-call per 4-week schedule period**Highlights:** - Work on a 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit with a team of approximately 71 staff members- LDRP unit supporting vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, antepartum patients, and newborn/post-partum care- Patient ratios: Labor 1:1, Post-partum 5-6:1, Nursery 5-6:1- EMR systems: Meditech and CPN- GE fetal monitoring equipment- High birth volume environment with comprehensive perinatal services**Requirements:** - Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications- Valid RN license in Virginia (or ability to obtain)- Preferred: 2+ years labor experience in an LDRP setting with high birth volumes**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work within a robust maternal-infant care team providing comprehensive services from antepartum through post-partum and newborn care.
