Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Connecticut Educator Certificate with a Special Education endorsement
• Previous experience working in a self-contained classroom, with flexibility to teach any age group
• Full-time availability for the academic year (August 2026 - May 2027; dates subject to change)
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to customize instruction to student needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment
• Excellent communication abilities, collaborative mindset, and a growth-oriented outlook

Role Responsibilities:

• Utilize evidence-based strategies to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Deliver engaging instruction, adapting content for diverse learners
• Monitor student progress, maintain records, and adjust plans as needed
• Foster a positive, structured learning environment, supporting the emotional and academic development of each student
• Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and service providers to maximize student success
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings

In addition to a fulfilling, hands-on teaching experience in Connecticut, you’ll have the support of a dedicated staffing team throughout your contract. A regular daytime schedule (30–32.5 hours/week) allows for meaningful work-life balance during the school year.
