Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for ER patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Collect relevant data, assess conditions, analyze information, and develop care plans.
• Implement interventions, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment; supervise and direct activities of nursing staff as assigned.
• Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and adjust care as needed; collaborate with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
• Document care and treatment accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC and Cerner systems) and participate in discharge planning and patient education.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
• Minimum two years of recent ER/acute care nursing experience
• BSN preferred; active RN license in the state of assignment
• CPR/BLS required; ACLS and PALS required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
• EPIC and Cerner experience required
• Ability to work a 3x12 night shift and participate in a travel assignment
