Position: Surgical Process Technician

Location: Cleveland, OH

Shift: Night 5x8-Hour (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Job Description

The Surgical Process Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the surgical unit by assisting in patient transport, equipment management, and maintaining cleanliness in surgical areas. This position requires teamwork and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Essential Responsibilities

• Transport patients as needed within the facility.
• Assist in the cleaning and turnover of surgical rooms.
• Lift and handle heavy items as part of daily duties.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
• Must be physically capable of lifting heavy items and performing manual tasks.
• Active and valid Ohio license or compact license required.

Orientation and Training

New hires will complete orientation during the first three weeks of the contract, working the first shift (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) to become familiar with the unit and its operations.

Additional Requirements

• The selected candidate must successfully complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment during orientation, with two attempts available for passing each assessment.
• Compliance with a nicotine-free requirement is necessary, excluding certain exemptions.
• A drug screening (10-panel including nicotine) is mandatory within the last 12 months of the start date.
• Background checks will be conducted, with open cases not accepted.
